Dato’ Rahim Bin Suboh’s career spans over 40 years across numerous industries that include banking and finance, transport operation, mechanical and electrical, automobile, trading, telecommunication, construction and landscape, property development, and foreign currency exchange.
He first joined Central Bank of Malaysia in 1979 as Officer involved in bank and currency operations. Almost 2 decades later he moved on to Airport Coach Sdn Bhd where he managed transport operation to KLIA. In 2004, Dato’ Rahim became the Chairman of Hanitek Sdn Bhd, a company that provides mechanical & electrical services to TNB, automobile servicing, trading (local and international, and telecommunication.
While maintaining his Chairman position with Hanitek Sdn Bhd, Dato’ Rahim was offered a position by Ministry of Finance in 2009 as Special Officer to Deputy Minister of Finance, Dato’ Dr Awang Adek Husain. Concurrently, he has also been serving as International Advisor for Koperasi Pendidikan Islam Malaysia Bhd (UKHWAH) since 2009. Dato’ Rahim left Ministry of Finance in 2013.
Currently, Dato’ Rahim is also Director of Timbunan Pelangi Sdn Bhd; Advisor to the Board of Directors, Auto Mastercop Sdn Bhd; Director of Nik Hussain Holding Sdn Bhd; Director of Metro Exchange Sdn Bhd; and Chairman of Teroka Idaman Resources.
