Jessie commenced her career as a management trainee in UEM Berhad. During her tenure at UEM, she held various positions within the organisation; from technical engineering roles to corporate functions, namely corporate performance and accounting roles. The multiple function gave her a broad insight of the operations know how of a diverse conglomerate in Malaysia, from the operating units to the management of the organization.
Jessie subsequently joined Shell Limited Berhad’s Financial Controller team. In Shell, she was primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth running of local downstream’s financial activities and was involved in restructuring of the organization. This has added an edge to Jessie in terms of managing organizational change management.
She then went on to join Corporate Surveillance Department in Securities Commission Malaysia’s (SC). Her primary responsibilities include evaluating corporate exercises, performing assessments on public interest entities to detect possible corporate transgressions, providing strategic enforcement recommendations to upper management, carrying out regulatory actions and conducting corporate risk assessments. As a former regulator, Jessie is conversant in a broad range of capital market matters.
She went on to venture into the entrepreneurial world, and had hands on experience of establishing organisations, from registration of companies to implementation of operational structure as well as handling international trades.
Jessie joined the ACE Group in April 2021. She is responsible to assist the Group Director, which include amongst others, formulating business strategies and conceptualising development plans to expand and enhance the services offered by the ACE Group.
Jessie graduated with a bachelor’s degree with Honours in Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She is currently on track to achieve her accountancy chartership.
