Emma graduated from Deakin University of Australia in 2000 with a degree in Bachelor of Commerce.

Knowing herself as an analytical thinker, she started her career in 2007 with Kantar TNS (formerly known as Taylor Nelson Sofres) as Qualitative Research Executive, managing local and regional projects, both in Qualitative and Quantitative. Her desire to further understand human behaviour drove her to specialise on Qualitative Research. She was passionate about understanding consumer motivation, analysing and presenting her research findings to support future decision-making. Her superb communication skills allowed her to socialise and talk to people from all backgrounds easily and deliver dynamic presentations. Over the span of 12 years in Qualitative Research, Emma gained a wealth of experience and in 2013 she joined Firefly – Kantar Millward Brown (formerly known as Firefly – Millward Brown) as Associate Qualitative Director. There, she led and supported the qualitative team through all phases of research to deliver insight-driven strategies to clients that include Tesco Malaysia, Wyeth, Fonterra, and F&N.

Moving on, she then joined Nexus Creative Sdn Bhd in 2015 as Director where she was actively involved in market analysis, business planning, business development, project planning, and management; providing inputs on concept development, and occasionally, she played the role of a Production Manager.

In 2017, Emma was approached by ACE Pictures Entertainment to conduct international research studies in film industry. In that year itself, she and her colleagues made their first trip to the US to identify and explore opportunities in Hollywood. They also travelled to several top film festivals in the world that include Cannes Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and SXSW. Eventually, Emma and her colleagues set foot in Hollywood and set up ACE Pictures Entertainment LLC in California. Currently, Emma is the Vice President - Business Affairs of ACE Pictures Entertainment LLC, overseeing the day-to-day operations, developing business plans, and strategising the company's expansion.

In less than 2 years, ACE Pictures has established a successful track record with four out of the eight films produced - CLEMENCY & IMAGINARY ORDER - being selected for competition at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival. CLEMENCY took home the Grand Jury Prize in the U.S. Dramatic category. ACE Pictures’ third feature, DANIEL ISN’T REAL, premiered at 2019 SXSW film festival and fourth feature, COLOR OUT OF SPACE, premiered at 2019 Toronto International film festival.

Emma is also the Operations Director of ACE Pictures Entertainment Sdn Bhd. She has a hand in virtually every aspect of the business and is tasked to ensure it runs smoothly and has the best working environment and processes.
