Kok Eng has more than 30 years of experience in audit and data analytics. He first commenced his career at Arthur Andersen (AA) & Co. (now known as Ernst & Young Malaysia) as a consultant in the field of audit and computer risk management. He subsequent joined various private and public listed companies where he was entrusted with several roles and responsibilities namely, in Internal Audit, Finance and Sales Division.

On top of his working experience in the corporate field, Kok Eng has also more than 15 years’ experiences working in various statutory bodies.  He joined Bank Negara Malaysia where he was made Manager in the Special Investigation Unit and led the Computer Forensics team in the Investigation Department. Subsequently, Kok Eng joined Bursa Malaysia Berhad where he was appointed Head of the Exchange Market Data Information Services, primarily in charge of managing data analytics, index operation and distribution of market data. Kok Eng later joined the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) as General Manager of the Analytics Department where he was instrumental in setting up key processes to discover, interpret, and communicate significant patterns from raw capital market data which allowed various stakeholders within the organisation to make fully informed decision in an expedient and expeditious manner. He also managed enterprise data platforms governing the Malaysian Capital Market and led the successful implementation of the Malaysian Capital Market Common Reporting platform, a single submission system leveraging on XBRL technology to improve the quality of data disclosure and ease the regulatory reporting burden.

At ACE, Kok Eng is currently the Audit Committee Chairman of ACE Investment Bank Limited and Independent Non-Executive Director of ACE Money Exchange Sdn Bhd where his roles broadly include improving corporate credibility and governance standards functioning and playing a vital role in risk management.

Kok Eng holds a double bachelor’s degree with Honours in Economics and Computing from Monash University Australia. He is a member of CPA Australia as well as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
