Peter Wong graduated as an audio engineer and multimedia designer. He started his career as a music producer in 2001. Four years later, Peter established Nexus Creative, a multimedia agency. It was in Nexus Creative that Peter was able to freely experiment with bold ideas and exercised his skills in visual and aural design. His creations eventually earn him several international design awards.

As his core background is into music and sound, over the past decade Peter has written and scored music for movies, released two music albums and produced music for Discovery, Crime Investigation Channel, ASTRO, Tourism Malaysia and many more.

He continued to amass a set of skills, making him known for his versatility in the industry, from photography, video editing, sound design, art direction and in 2010, he ventured into film making. He debuted as a feature director in 2016 for THE SPIRAL and subsequently in 2018 it was selected in competition at International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival 2019 and in Berlin Sci-Fi Film Festival 2019 as well.

He joined ACE Pictures in 2017. Primarily as film financiers, Peter analyze, select and then recommend screenplays pitched to him to be funded by ACE. Working closely with producers and filmmakers, Peter and his team take proactive roles in shaping each project into perfection. Within less than two years since ACE Pictures ventured into US:

1) ‘Clemency’ was selected into competition at Sundance Film Festival 2019 and coveted the top Grand Jury Prize award.
2) ‘Imaginary Order’ was selected to compete at Sundance 2019 as well and eventually won the ‘Best Feature’ at Big Apple Film Festival 2019, New York.
3) ‘Daniel Isn’t Real’ premiered at SXSW Film Festival 2019, Austin and won the ‘Best Poster Design’. The film was later awarded ‘Best Director’ at Bucheon International
Film Festival 2019 (BIFAN), Korea.
4) ‘Color Out of Space’ recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2019 and won Best Picture (Horror) at Fantastic Film Festival 2019, Austin.

He also earned his first p.g.a mark in US for LEAVE NOT ONE ALIVE, starring Academy Award winner Melissa Leo and Bella Thorne.

Now, Peter and his colleagues spearheaded an initiative to nurture emerging, diverse filmmakers both locally and internationally, to produce world class content alongside with their US counterparts, putting ACE Pictures into the world map as a recognizable, global brand.
