Cheah Hock Choon started off his career in UMBC Finance Berhad in 1984, initially assisting in the processing of hire purchase loans for motor vehicles in the Credit Department. Three years later he was promoted to the Head of Credit Department, whose tasks included exploring new markets in order to increase market share of the automotive hire purchase business which at that time was monopolised by credit companies. In 1995, he became a Deputy Branch Manager, assisting the Branch Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day business operations of the branch.

For two years after he left UMBC Finance Berhad in 1997, Cheah Hock Choon owned and operated a Motor & General Insurance company. Later he joined EON Berhad - Ampang Branch as Sales Advisor for five years. During the same period he also operated a used car business at Jalan Ampang.

In October 2005, Cheah Hock Choon joined Motozoom Sdn Bhd as Outlet Manager. There, he was tasked with managing 18 Sales Advisors and ensuring that the Sales Department achieved the monthly and annual targets set by the Regional Office. He was also overseeing the Admin/ HR department and was the PIC consulted by the Manager of Accounts Department on the monthly and annual P & L prior to submissions to directors and shareholders.

Over the years, Cheah Hock Choon has proven his ability to work with minimal supervision. He has also been producing positive results, which was largely thanks to his experience and self-motivation. A resultsoriented person, combined with his passion for management, he is able to work collaboratively with his team members to achieve goals and to effectively manage all operations.
