Annie Chang is the founder and Group Managing Director of ACE. As an Accounting Graduate, Annie started her business venture from humble beginnings at the age of 21, stepping foot into the credit and leasing industry in early 1990s. In this regard, Annie pioneered the concept of customisable easy repayment leasing schemes, one of the first in the industry at that time. To-date, the credit business remained solid, continuing to generate a major portion of ACE Group’s earnings and acts as the primary driving force of ACE’s rapid expansion across the years.

Annie possesses strong determination and business acumen which saw her playing a vital role in charting the phenomenal growth of ACE since its inception. Despite many challenges over the last three decades, including two rounds of major recessions, Annie has successfully transformed ACE into a diversified conglomerate which now offers more than 10 bespoke services in several geographical regions ranging from its original credit and leasing business to private equity, investment banking, property development, filmmaking, media & technology, money exchange & remittance, capital management and others. Today, ACE has reached a sizeable combined share capital of over RM1 billion and carries a stellar reputation as a respected integrated financial service provider.

Yet, Annie will continuously look to expand the services offered by ACE with an objective of providing a truly holistic and comprehensive financial solution to its valued stakeholder whilst staying true to ACE’s values of being ethical and with the utmost integrity. Towards this and to ensure the continuous success of ACE, Annie in her capacity as Group Managing Director, is instrumental in setting up various committees to strengthen the inner workings of ACE. She cultivated programs to recruit and nurture career driven and passionate talents as well as implementing clear leadership framework to ensure the sustainable growth of the organisation. Annie also established critical risk management structure to ensure that the undertakings of the organisation commensurate with its long-term growth strategy.
